It's 1:20 in the morning. I FINALLY finished my drawing of Katrel and Tren. I am incredibly happy right now, but also incredibly tired.

I'm going to bed.

*falls over*

I posted a couple of older fanart pieces last night, and two thoughts came to mind:

The first thought was, "You know, those aren't bad."

Right on its heels was, "...I've improved."

And I have. I've learned to work with color, which has always been a goal of mine - at least, since I started drawing, which wasn't until I was 19. I've also achieved that holy grail of art, the thing I couldn't do until just a few months ago:

I've learned to draw original characters, right out of my head. They're not perfect by any means. They tend to be done portrait-style, because my figure drawing currently sucks. That's another goal of mine. Learn to draw below the neck. And I have the perfect test subjects.

My muses! Mwa ha ha!

Anyway, that's enough rambling for now. I'm off to...er...work. Yes, of course. Work.

I have discovered oekaki. It's fun.

Wow, I just submitted two pieces, an oldish one and a very new one. I feel so productive. Boogie down!

Okay, I've recategorized all my stuff. I hope I put them all in the right place, but some of them are sort of hard to categorize. Jilani, for example. Is she Portraits? Is she People? Sci-fi? She's not Fanart, she's definitely my own creation, but she's based on Star Trek. I wasn't sure, so I stuck her in Miscellaneous. I wasn't sure about Yume or my random lady either. So they're in Miscellaneous too.

Hee hee... ^_^;
